Export documents Rule

When the Export documents rule is executed, an interface opens that allows the user to export documents to a CSV or XLSX file. In that interface, the user can indicate whether they want to include:

  • Field labels in the exported file
  • Fields that are not in the layout
  • Whether inactive fields should be excluded

The Exclude inactive fields option is available for both CSV and XLSX exports. When it is enabled, header fields with the Active property switched off are left out of the exported file. This applies to grid columns that are bound to an inactive field, as well as to the fields exported when Export fields that are not part of the layout is enabled. Line fields are not affected.

How to Add and Configure the Export documents Rule

  1. Open the desired action in your workflow.
  2. Go to the Rules section and click the button.
  3. In the configuration pane, select Export documents from the Type dropdown.
  4. Give the rule a clear Label and Description.
  5. Configure the properties as outlined below.
  6. Click Save to finalize the rule setup.
  7. Click Save in the action properties pane to apply the changes.
